Rev. Rachel Srubas was ordained to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA) in 2000 and has served as the pastor of Mountain Shadows Presbyterian Church since 2006.
She holds Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Theological Studies degrees from McCormick Theological Seminary, where she received awards for her work in systematic theology, biblical studies, and spiritual writing.
She is the author of four books on spiritual life and is a frequent contributor of articles and devotions to such Christian publications as Presbyterians Today, Give Us This Day, These Days, and The Upper Room Daily Devotional Guide. Rachel’s pastoral ministry is grounded in her love for God, God’s Word, and God’s people.
She particularly enjoys preaching, leading worship, facilitating adult faith formation programs, and fostering individuals’ responsiveness to the Holy Spirit’s movement in their lives. Rachel is a grateful minister member of Presbytery de Cristo and often serves the presbytery as a spiritual formation workshop leader.
