The Ministry of Invitation.
This ministry is intended to encourage you, our members, to invite friends and neighbors to share God’s love and give praise to God in our church and church sponsored activities.
There is something special about an invitation; it makes you feel good, it makes you feel wanted, it makes you feel accepted. But when it comes to inviting someone to come to church that makes you, the inviter, feel a bit apprehensive.
Open a conversation by discussing a friend’s interests in activities that we have at MSPC – food drives, prayers & squares, border issues, music. If a friend seems to be going through a difficult period perhaps relate a personal story of how the church has supported you in a similar situation. Offer a ride, consider a special service that might be appropriate.
We have a bright, new brochure that is full of pictures and information about all we offer at Mountain Shadows, not just on Sunday morning but throughout the week. Take one, or two, home to offer to people with your invitation.
Statistics prove that people who have a personal invitation to come to church will respond positively. Church growth is enhanced when each member does his/her part.
“when each separate part works as it should,
the whole body grows and builds itself up through love.”
